Yellowstone Part 2
The rain has finally let up...and we have seen a variety of animals like black bear, bison, wolf, deer, and elk.
We did a lot of hiking and tried to get "off the beaten path" as much as possible.

Our cabin was amazing, and the proximity to the West Yellowstone park entrance was close enough to be able to go into the park each day. We did learn our lesson about not bringing lunch, and ate at the cafe near Old Faithful on day 2.
Let's just day expensive doesn't begin to describe it. The next day we brought our lunch and ended up eating next to a beautiful stream, and taking our time!!

All in all, it was a great vacation. I do have to say I am still a bigger fan of Glacier though! I am glad to say that I did Yellowstone and it really was beautiful.

Pacific Northwest Trip
We had a blast in Seattle, Chelan, Coeur d'Alene, and Vancouver over the long weekend, and took full advantage of every minute of our trip. The research I did on Travel channel , and Food Network to locate Washington state's best picks definitely paid off.
I overcame (temporarily put on hold) my fear of heights during out Adventure Aviation Trike Flight in Chelan. http://www.trikeflites.com/
The area supplies over 70% of the nations apples, and is located right on the fertile banks of Lake Chelan and borders the Wenatchee National forest.
The Trike flight was thirty minutes of instruction, followed by a 45 minute tour directed by an instructor over some of the most beautiful parts of the area.
Coeur d'Alene has a very good eatery, Michael D's, http://michaelds.com/ that has great sandwiches.
We also stumbled upon the most quaint and cute Bavarian Village once we left Chelan, called Leavenworth Bavarian Village. The entire town is built in a Bavarian style, and every building matches its architecture with the towns theme.
We also hit up some of the best organic produce stands in the area, namely one with the biggest sunflowers I have EVER seen in my life!
Staying in the downtown Seattle area, near the University of Washington proved to be a good choice. It was near a ton of shopping, street food, book stores (Magus Books), and restaurants that stayed open well into the night.
The books we bought...
On day two we stopped in Bellingham for breakfast, more produce (we brought two coolers), and a tour of the Pacific Chef Culinary school. There is also an eatery attached, and a Specialty kitchen, and vinegar and oil store.
We hit up the original STARBUCKS
Top Pot Doughnuts, and "Seattle's Best" picks, Thai Tom, Beecher's Handmade Cheese, Pho Tran, Garam Masala's, Beth's Cafe, Mr. D's Greek Food, Jack's Fish market and of course, Pike Place Market!
I also had an opportunity to spend about three hours in Sur La Table Gourmet Chef store http://www.surlatable.com/, which was in short simply amazing! I was pretty much dragged out....after buying a very nice chef's nice, and a variety of other kitchen gadgets.
Jack's Fish Market...pick it, cook it, AND eat it right there!
I am only mentioning a tiny portion of all Seattle had to offer, and this will most certainly go down as one of our best vacations, rivaling our favorite- San Francisco!
Top Pot ROCKS!!!
I brought home some of the most gorgeous flowers from Pike Place, over ten hours in the car, and they are just as beautiful! all for $15. You really can't beat that!
All-in-all, this was a great vacation, and although it was a lot to drive, it was well worth it and we had a blast!!!!!

Hotel Deca was a great value for the money, allowed our dog, and was in the heart of a perfect area.
